I am dedicated to helping you feel better about your life, your relationships and yourself.

BACKGROUND

I completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in psychology at the University of Sydney. I was awarded the School of Psychology prize in the final year of my studies, for excellence in clinical and academic work. I trained at the Child and Family Service at Queenscliff Community Health Centre, the Brain and Mind Research Institute (BMRI) at The University of Sydney and Jarrah House, a residential treatment facility for women with substance use problems.

I then worked at Wesley Private Hospital in the Eating Disorders Unit where I facilitated group treatment for individuals suffering from eating disorders and associated mental health problems, such as substance abuse, self-harm, mood disturbance and anxiety. During this time I also began working at The Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise and Eating Disorders at The University of Sydney, researching psychological treatments for obesity. I have co-authored publications in scientific journals in the area of obesity, cognitive-behavioural therapy and mindfulness. I have been an honorary fellow at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Camperdown where I provided assessment and consultation for individuals preparing for bariatric surgery.

I have enjoyed working privately with individuals throughout my career. I am a thoughtful therapist and I will provide a safe and supportive environment for you to work through your problems. I will assist you to understand the problems you are facing and support you to make the changes that you desire in your life, your relationships or yourself.

I have more recently completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and I will use these skills when working with couples.
